- Was planned as a remake of The Last House on the Left (1972) until a week into production, the producer felt it original enough to stand on its own.
- David Hess "Krug" from The Last House on the Left (1972), was originally cast in a major role and recommended friend Sage Stallone for the part of "Swan". After a week of shooting, the producer chose not to label the film a remake and replaced David Hess. Stallone quit, but was under contract which forced him to complete his scenes.
